CourseCast
Support
CourseCast turns phones into unattended broadcast cameras for golf tournaments. If something is not working at your event, tell us — the fastest way to reach a person is email.

Common questions
How do I join an event?
Open the Camera tab. If you are standing at an event that has GPS joining turned on, it appears automatically — tap Join as Event Camera. Otherwise tap Join other event and enter the code your host gave you, or scan their QR code.
The app says it can't find an event near me.
GPS joining only works while you are physically at the course, and only for events the host has enabled it for. Use the event code instead — it works from anywhere. If you do not have one, ask your host for the share link.
Nothing is being recorded.
The camera only records once you have placed it on a hole and gone live. CourseCast listens for the sound of a ball strike, so it records when play actually comes through rather than continuously. Check that the microphone permission is allowed in iOS Settings, and that the shot counter on the live screen is visible.
Can I leave the phone unattended?
Yes — that is what it is built for. Mount it on a tripod, go live, and it keeps listening with the screen off. Keep it on power for anything longer than about an hour, and out of direct sun in hot weather.
My clips have not appeared yet.
Clips queue on the device and upload when there is signal, so a weak connection delays them rather than losing them. They resume automatically — including after the app restarts. If a queue has been stuck for a long time, email us with the event name and roughly when it happened.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no user accounts. A camera is authorised by the event code alone, and no personal profile is created.
How do I report a problem with a clip?
Tap the flag icon while watching a stream, or email us directly. Tell us the event and roughly when the shot happened and we will look into it.
